This is a truly idyllic retreat. The lodge is beautiful and very well equipped. It is fully secure and very private. Our dogs loved the space and the surrounding walks in the woods. Our teenagers loved the high speed wifi and we loved the privacy and the hot tub! Liz was a fantastic host and left us many thoughtful treats - nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return and can highly recommend this lodge.

Just back from a wonderful 3 night stay at Loxleys Lodge, everything was perfect. The location is so quiet and peaceful but lots to do on the doorstep. Great trails for cycling and nearby to the Go Ape centre. Lots to do locally for children. Hot tub was amazing for relaxing in the evening and the facilities in the lodge were fabulous.

We had a lovely break here between Christmas and New Year. The hosts were very welcoming and greeted us with a super welcome basket including treats for humans and dogs.
They really have a beautiful lodge and their hosting is superb, giving us advice on walks and places to eat as well as being on hand should we need anything.
The hot tub was a fantastic addition and Liz maintained it well and at prior agreement, the secluded safe setting was perfect for our dogs to mill around outside while we were in the hot tub.
In fact this was as much a holiday for our dogs as it was for us and our Cairn was so relaxed he forgot to bark at everything! Thank you Liz and Paul for a wonderful stay.

Expect to be Wowed...
Loxleys Lodge is a gem !
Arrived Christmas Eve to a roaring log fire and a welcome hamper of fresh bread, eggs, milk, biscuits, chocolates, mulled wine and so much more...even some dreamies for Wilson (our Siamese) The hot tub was bubbling away too looking very inviting.
Liz was there to greet us and explain everything - a loverly host from start to finish...nothing was too much trouble . She had even baked us a fruitcake (old family recipe) as a Christmas gift...(other times of the year she bakes scones with clotted cream and jam) What a lovely touch, 1st class.
Christmas Day was spent enjoying the forest location, festive feasting and fab hot tub dips.
Boxing Day took us clay pigeon shooting just 5 minutes away from the Lodge.
Fabulous Christmas? Truly the best !

We highly recommend staying at this beautiful woodland lodge as it outweighed all of our expectations and was the perfect little family getaway in the woods. Liz & Paul were the perfect hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed and included some very sweet personal touches of homemade afternoon tea scones - they were delicious!! Our 4 legged friend enjoyed his welcome treats too!! The outside space would be perfect for spring/summer bbq's, however the hot tub in the dark nights was blissful!! It felt like we were at a fairytale gingerbread house with the festive lights on the lodge outside to accompany the bubbles!! We will definitely recommend to family and friends for future stays !! Big Thankyou!!

Our stay at Loxley’s Lodge was amazing from start to finish! The lodge was beautiful and located in a peaceful area. The hosts Liz and Paul were very helpful, also meeting us upon arrival to show us around the lodge. With extra added touches that were unexpected, helped our stay to be extra special. Couldn’t recommend this retreat more highly. The hot tub was a group favourite during our stay! Thank you for an amazing short break!

Highly recommended the Cabin is great and even better than it looks on pictures. Finished to a high standard with great touches. Nice relaxing get away in a nice quiet location with lots to do just a short drive away. Hosts are great, very welcoming!
